Workshops will be announced in the spring 2010.

If you have ever attended a workshop weekend away or went to any conventions; then you are very aware of how fun miniatures are!  My dream was to have a place where once or twice a year, miniaturists could come and share their love of creating miniatures on an intimate scale.  Nationals or large conventions are wonderful but it is a small group that learns the most from each other.    It would be great to have people from all different countries come with ideas and talents to share with one another; plus learn a few things from me!

I have been in miniatures for twenty years now (hate to say that as you'll think I'm old!) and have learned a lot of tips and tricks over the years.  I loved miniatures so much I decided to go and get my degree in Industrial Design (Arts Degree) to learn more about model making, sculpting, animatronics and prosthetics....and use all these skills in miniature making.  I have been involved in many clubs over the years and am now President of MEET in Lethbridge area.  I just completed my term as Regional Coordinator of N.A.M.E. in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba if you are interested in joining drop me a note.  If you are a NAME member check out the Club Corner as it has new projects every few months which I am State Rep for.

We are currently renovating the rooms above the Museum so they can be utilized for Miniature Workshop Get-Aways.  They should be completed in the summer of 2010 and then workshops will be scheduled.  We will host workshops at another location until our Inn and hosting houses are completed.

Are you interested in a week long retreat?  We will be sending out information in 2010 for instructors or students interested.
