Browsing the archive
The archive’s pages and contribution form use no cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, browser fingerprinting, or browser local storage. We will not add those features. Reading the archive does not require an account. Images, fonts, and site scripts are served with the archive rather than loaded from tracking services.
Requests still pass through the website’s hosting and network providers. Their operational or security logs may contain an IP address, the requested page, request time, and browser information. This is separate from visitor analytics. Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.
Before you send
Your entered name, optional reply email, contribution type, story or item description, and credit preference stay in the page until you send them. The site does not autosave forms in your browser. Leaving or reloading the page before sending may lose your writing.
Contributions sent for review
When the form says Send for review, it sends the entered fields and your review consent to the archive’s private contribution service. The service stores that material with a submission time, a random reference number, and a pending-review status outside the public website files. Nothing is published automatically. Publication permission and credit must be settled separately.
The form accepts text, with no file uploads. Include only information you intend to share for review, and describe any privacy or credit preferences in your contribution. An optional email address lets us reply about your contribution, permissions, or arrangements for sharing an item. That address is kept private and is not published or used for marketing. Leave it blank if you do not want email follow-up.
A copy of your contribution, including any reply address, is sent to the archive’s review mailbox, contribute@delbonita.com, on the same hosting server. The private server record remains available if the notification cannot be sent. Access to the review mailbox and private records is restricted to the archive’s reviewer. Nothing is emailed automatically to a contributor’s supplied address.
The service checks the submitted fields and accepts requests from the site’s contribution form. It does not store a network address in a contribution record, create a browser identifier, or use cookies. Hosting logs may still record network addresses as described above.
Received contributions are kept for review and possible preservation. The service does not automatically delete received stories or offer an automatic deletion tool. No fixed retention period is promised here. Any material considered for the public archive is reviewed for permission, attribution, and privacy first.
